Ektor Papadakis was born in Rethymno, Crete in 1960. From 1982 until 1985 he studied marble and classic sculpture at the School of Fine Arts, in Pyrgos, Tinos. He graduated with honors in 1985 and he entered with scholarship in Athens School of Fine Arts, wherefrom he also graduated with honors in 1990 from the Workshop of G. Nikolaidis. In parallel, he completed studies of Scenography at the Workshop of G. Vasiliadis.
Since 2007 he has taught sculpture at Florina School of Fine Arts, of the University of Western Macedonia, where he founded and organized the Workshop (of Direction) of Sculpture, whereas in 2010 he elected member of the Academic Stuff, as assistant professor.
In 2013 he received his Master’s degree from the School of Education of the University of Western Macedonia, with the following thesis title: “Busts of Historical Persons – Creation of Historical Narrations”.
